HIGHLAND, Kan. – Lucas Hunziger, Vice President of Technical Education at Highland Community College (HCC), has been recognized with the prestigious Rising Star Award by the Rural Community College Alliance (RCCA).

The RCCA Rising Star Award recognizes emerging leaders at rural community colleges, celebrating individuals with exceptional promise and dedication to the mission of their institutions.

“Anyone who knows Vice President Hunziger knows that he is a leader who puts students first,” said HCC President Vincent Bowhay. “His dedication to student success, technical education, and Northeast Kansas make him an exemplary leader, and this recognition is well deserved.”
